Mother’s Day Message
Ephesians 3:20-21 “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations , for ever and ever! Amen.”
Philippians 4:19 “And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”
Today, as we honor our mothers, we are going to hear some stories about how God heard some praying mothers and met their needs according to his word.
Questions for Study and Reflection
1. What special heirloom or memory do you have that was passed on to you from your mother or grandmother? Why is it significant to you?
2. Read Philippians 4:19. What were the difficulties that your mother or grandmother faced? What life truth did they learn from this experience? How did that impact you?
3. Read Ephesians 3:20-21. What testimony did you hear on Sunday that you would like God to do in your life? What would you like God to do at Bethel? Take some time to pray about this.
Bethel 3.0 Monthly Theme: May 2018 – Forgiveness
At Home/Family Activity: This week, as we consider mothers and the impact they have had in our lives, we hoped to give you opportunity to work thru the theme of forgiveness as it relates to mom.
Consider your mom – do you need to apologise, do you need to thank her, do you need to forgive her? Whether alive or deceased, spend time praying and perhaps writing to / calling mom to begin the process of reparation where it is needed. Take it to the cross and leave it there – then go forward with God into healing and health!
