Questions for Study and Reflection
1. How would you react if you knew you had only a day or so left to live? Would you do? Who would you spend time with? What would you say?
2. Scan over John 16 to refresh your memory. Read John 17. Why is Jesus praying this prayer for the reader to hear? What thoughts come to mind as you consider the words Jesus prayed to His Father?
3. Explain John 17:1-3 in your own words. Do you agree with point I and the subpoints? Why or why not?
4. Explain John 17:4-5 in your own words. Do you agree with point II and the subpoints? Why or why not?
5. What are the implications of vs. 5 in terms of Jesus’ new nature and His returning to the glory He had before time? What does it mean for those who are in Christ (see 1 Cor. 2:9)? What does that mean in terms of our daily walk with God? How are you doing in this?
6. In considering point II, who can you share the gospel with this week? What is the importance of doing so? Let’s get sharing!
