I. Jesus Declares Himself to be the Source and Sustainer of Life (John 6:1-13).
A. God alone has been the sustainer of Israel and her sole provider (vs. 1-4).
B. Jesus’ provision for human needs is a sign of His divine power in operation (vs. 5-9).
C. It is God’s nature to abundantly provide for the needs of His people (vs. 10-11).
D. God’s people are to faithfully steward all the Lord provides for their benefit (vs. 12-13).
II. We Frequently Misconstrue God’s Spiritual Kingdom for an Earthly, Physical One (John 6:14-15).
III. Life’s Difficulties may be Navigated when we Know “I AM” is for Us (John 6:16-24).

1. What are the people or things that our society today typically places their trust or confidence in? What do people today usually not trust in?
2. Read John 6:1-24. What is the significance of John the Evangelist’s inclusion of vs. 4? What are the similarities between this story and the story of Israel’s journey out of Egypt at the time of the Exodus? What things are different? Why is John doing this
