Questions for Study and Reflection
1. Recall a time when you were anxious about a situation. What was it? Did your anxiety subside? How or why?
2. Read John 14:1-14. What is primary concern Jesus is addressing in this section of text? What does he mean by what He says in vs. 6? Why does He say this? What is the difference between truth and preference?
3. What is Jesus attempting to communicate to the disciples in vss. 7-14? Why is he doing this? What does He mean by what He says in vss. 12-13? What does this thing called prayer look like in your life?
4. Reflect on vs. 6. Do you believe this? How does it differ from every other non-Christian perspective? What difference does believing this make in your life? Do you know others that need a confidence that comes from knowing this? Why not pray for them and then go and speak with them?
